Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical diagnoses in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts and blood product administration
- Indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management
- Chest tube maintenance and continuous bladder irrigation
- Collaboration with healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU or Telemetry
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system preferred
