Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves floating across all PCU and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) floors with a cardiac focus. The role requires managing patients with cardiac conditions such as ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), Non-STEMI (NSTEMI), and cardiogenic patients, including the administration of cardiac drips like Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors. Candidates will provide care with a patient ratio of approximately 1:3 to 4 and may be assigned to telemetry beds with lower acuity levels. The facility uses Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC, and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse, minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility, BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, experience working with cardiac patient populations, and familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a float pool or cross-unit staffing, ability to adapt quickly to various clinical settings, excellent communication skills.
  • Additional Information: The RN will rotate through all PCU/IMCU floors with a focus on cardiac patient care, including patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P. Cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors are used, and telemetry beds with lower acuity levels may also be assigned. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be minimal.
