Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) specialty position is located at a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves providing care for patients during the immediate post-operative period, primarily on weekends. Candidates must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience. The position includes responsibilities for pre-operative and post-operative care for surgery patients and occasional pre-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) patients.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The assignment starts on 08/31/2026 and ends on 11/30/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing, current BLS certification, and EPIC EMR experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Peri-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and/or Certified Ambulatory Peri-Anesthesia (CAPA). Successful completion of prior travel assignments is also preferred.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Scrubs will be provided. This position is primarily for weekend coverage. Candidate submissions are limited to W-2 employees of their respective staffing agency. Medical/Surgical and Critical Care registered nurses should be prepared to float as needed.
