Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience delivering safe, attentive post-anesthesia recovery care
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to identify changes in patient condition quickly
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a surgical and perioperative care setting
• Ability to work evening shifts while maintaining a patient-focused approach throughout the assignment

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and support a safe transition from surgery to discharge or the next level of care
• Perform frequent assessments of vital signs, pain level, respiratory status, and overall recovery progress
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
• Provide patient education and reassurance to support comfort, safety, and recovery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in PACU nursing care
