Job Summary:
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) specialty position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing post anesthesia recovery services for all types of surgical patients. The position requires strong experience in telemetry reading, measuring, and drips/titrations, with a focus on pediatric care preferred. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, to December 8, 2026, with a rotating shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current PACU / post anesthesia care experience; Iowa or multistate license as proof of current licensure; EPIC electronic medical record experience; American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC/Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and PALS certifications; strong telemetry reading and measuring skills; drips and titration experience; minimum 12 months PACU / post anesthesia care experience demonstrating relevant skills and knowledge.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric care experience; experience reading telemetry; strong telemetry measurement skills.
• Additional Information:
  • Candidates must pass a quick interview process via phone call or text from a 405 area code.
  • Candidates must be at least 50 miles away from the facility based on drivers license.
  • Holiday work may be required during Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day unless the unit is closed.
  • Orientation dates are scheduled for 09/08/2026 and 09/14/2026.
  • Submission of a current Iowa or multistate license and professional references within the last 24 months is required.
  • Work history must include 24 months in PACU / post anesthesia care.
  • Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA.
  • The position involves call duty as needed, with a $9/hour on-call rate.
  • The position requires working some weekends on an as-needed basis, every other weekend.
