Job Summary
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) specialty position available in a healthcare facility in a day shift schedule. The role involves supporting recovery services for patients in postoperative and outpatient procedures, with a focus on inpatient and outpatient care within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 09:30 AM 09:00 PM, minimum 36 hours per week, starting 09/07/2026 and ending 12/07/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and at least 3 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, trauma level I or II experience, and travel experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Valid CA RN license.
- Skills: Inpatient care, phase I Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, narcotics/opioid analgesics, ventilated patient care, conscious sedation, wound Vacs, interpretation of lab values, and more.
- Additional Information: Candidates must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing. All documentation must be submitted 10 days prior to start date. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a PACU setting with relevant certifications.
