Job Summary:
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) specialty nurse position in a healthcare facility located in a general area. The role involves providing post-operative recovery care for patients, primarily during standard daytime hours, with some flexibility required. The position is suitable for candidates with at least one year of experience in PACU or related units, and the work schedule is generally 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 09/21/2026 and ending on 12/21/2026.
- Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, valid state license (compact license accepted), certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting systems, PACU or perioperative recovery experience, familiarity with outpatient surgery procedures, and pediatric patient management skills.
- Float: Float to main PACU if needed.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible with start times, which vary based on assigned areas, with typical hours starting between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM. The role requires staying for the full shift when scheduled in PACU. No weekends, holidays, or call. Candidates are expected to work three of the five designated holidays. References covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required.
