Job Summary
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Winchester, VA. This full-time position involves providing pre-operative, post-operative, and PACU nursing care in an on-campus surgery center. The role requires delivering quality patient care across various procedural and cardiac cases within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years of experience in Pre-Operative, Post-Operative, and PACU nursing, with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system experience. Valid VA State License or Compact License, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA only).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrating drips, TAVR procedures, and a variety of cardiac and procedural cases.
- Float: Float rotation to sister units as needed to provide assistance.
- Additional Information: The unit has 16 beds, with a patient ratio of 2:1. The unit setting includes a mix of geriatric and general patient populations. Scrubs are required in navy color, following dress code policies.
