Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Santa Rosa, California. This position involves providing advanced perioperative care for a variety of surgical procedures in an acute care hospital setting. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries, necessitating experienced OR skills and clinical expertise.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California license, BLS certification, 2 years of OR experience with trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic cases, Epic charting system experience, minimum 2 years of clinical experience, valid CA license in hand, and experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or II experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby.
- Additional Information:
- Must have recent charge experience in operating room nursing.
- Willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Night shifts may include coverage of one shift within the contract as needed.
- The position requires adherence to infection control, fire safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol procedures.
- Candidates must submit two references covering at least one year within the last three years and provide a copy of certifications.
- RTO restrictions must be included at time of submission.
- The position requires working in an interdisciplinary environment with respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
