• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with call responsibility and rotating holiday coverage
• Call Schedule: Friday evening through Monday morning, with rotating weekends
• Setting: Operating Room with 3 ORs and 2 procedure rooms
• Charting System: EPIC
• Location: Belfast, Maine — a picturesque coastal community with a friendly, small-town feel and easy access to scenic outdoor recreation

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Active RN license in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Circulator experience required; scrub experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with rotating call responsibilities
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with EPIC is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care as an OR Circulator
• Support a variety of surgical cases including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, urology, endoscopy, and ophthalmology
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members to ensure smooth case flow
• Prepare the operating room, verify patient and procedure details, and maintain strict surgical safety standards
• Assist with call coverage and remain flexible for rotating weekend and holiday needs
• Work late as needed to finish cases and support daily surgical operations
• Use surgical equipment and technology such as Stryker, Storz, and Steris systems
• Contribute to a 1:1 patient care environment with a focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork
