Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in Portland, Maine. The role involves providing specialized nursing care within a 26-bed operating suite, focusing on trauma and a variety of surgical specialties. The position is scheduled for day shifts, with responsibilities spanning preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, minimum of 2 years of experience with Level 1 trauma, trauma care experience, and travel experience
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification preferred; experience in General, GU/GYN, Orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, or endovascular procedures is advantageous
- Float: Not applicable
- Additional Information: The operating room uses equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and an Intuitive Robot. The EMR system in use is Epic. Candidates should be flexible, accountable, timely, and team-oriented. Scrubs are teal and issued from the hospital. This role is for coverage due to leave, with a start date of 09/21/2026 and an end date of 12/21/2026.
