Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Templeton Located amidst oak trees in Templeton, this position involves assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists, coordinating equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative phase. The role includes participation in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment. The position is represented by CNA.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day, with minimum of 40 hours per week. Shift times are from 06:30 to 17:00 or 08:30 to 19:00, Monday through Friday, rotating days.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent; two years of experience in the operating room; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred; OR circulating experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR).
  • Essential Functions: Competent to circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures; knowledgeable of aseptic technique principles; capable of operating all routine surgical equipment; skilled in patient preparation and positioning; able to perform patient care assessments pre, intra, and post-procedure; competent in handling biohazardous materials; proficient in accessing facility information systems; knowledgeable about safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and hazardous waste control; documents tissue handling processes properly; utilizes downtime effectively for additional clinical or administrative tasks.
  • Additional Information: This role involves performing all job-related duties related to patient safety, emergency procedures, and equipment safety, as outlined in the environment of care plan. The position requires all relevant vaccinations, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons, and participation in E-Verify.
