Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is based in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized circulating and scrub services for a variety of complex surgical cases, including otolaryngology head and neck surgery and craniotomy procedures. The position requires a highly skilled healthcare professional capable of floating to other facilities and managing a range of surgical interventions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Start date: 09/22/2026.
- Required Qualifications: California registered nurse (RN) license, BSN, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), minimum of 3 years of surgical experience, previous travel assignment, scrub and circulate experience in surgical settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification, experience with Da Vinci Xi surgical system, ACLS certification.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other healthcare facilities within the same network.
- Additional Information: The position involves managing open and endoscopic surgical cases, robotic surgeries, and complex reconstructive procedures, including free flap surgeries. Experience with multidisciplinary support teams and interpretation services is available. Orientation hours total 40. The role supports adult and geriatric patient populations, with a daily census of approximately 28 beds.
- Travel and Submittal Requirements: Travel experience required; references from most recent employer needed; employment history must include all related employment with healthcare facilities within the university network. Modules are non-billable, vary by specialty, and must be completed pre-start and annually.
