Job Description:

The Adult Cardiac OR cares for a wide variety of patients, including those undergoing CABGs, TAVIs, and Heart Failure treatments such as VADs, ECMO, Artificial Heart, and Heart Transplants. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the OR staff cares for patients of all ages. The role involves independently scrubbing and circulating complex adult cardiac cases.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases including CABGs and structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall).
• Perform minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement) and manage heart failure cases (e.g., Impella).

Requirements:

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) years of experience required
• Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma - preferred
• Able to circulate & scrub
• Telemetry
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
