Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Cleveland Ohio. This position involves supporting various surgical procedures across multiple specialties, with a primary focus on the 7-room inpatient/outpatient unit. The role requires flexibility to assist in different units as needed, including scrubbing, circulating, and working with advanced surgical technology such as the Davinci XI robotic system. The schedule follows a Monday through Friday routine, often concluding by 7-8 pm, with responsibilities including weekend call shifts.
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week. The position includes 2 weekend call shifts and an additional shift of approximately 11:00 AM to 7:45 PM weekly.
- Required Qualifications: Valid US driver's license or state ID; successful completion of the UHS Skills Checklist and UHS Prior Employment Form; minimum of 1 year of OR experience; able to scrub, circulate, and operate Davinci XI robotic system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with posterior eye surgeries, eye trauma, gender affirmation procedures such as phalloplasty, and robotic surgical procedures in Urology and Gynecology.
- Additional Information: The OR team handles a diverse case load, including general, colorectal, gynecologic, urological, breast, eye, brachytherapy, plastics, and Uro-Gyn procedures. The unit sometimes performs robotic surgeries, particularly in Urology and Gynecology. Candidates must be adaptable to float between units and work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
