Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative patient care in a busy surgical environment. The role requires a skilled healthcare professional capable of supporting multiple surgical procedures with a well-rounded skill set, including vascular, robotic, and neuro experience preferred.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts with a total of 8 hours per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); California state license (compact license accepted); at least 2 years of Operating Room experience; minimum of 0 years experience for this position; located within 50 miles of Eureka, California.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience coordinating vascular, robotic, or neuro procedures is a plus.
- Float: Float rotation may be required depending on departmental needs.
- Additional Information: Candidates should have the ability to work a variable schedule including holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). All scheduling requests and time off should be requested upfront during submission; post-offer requests may not be granted. Candidates must include responses to specific questions regarding prior experience at a Providence facility and provide two recent references.
- Travel and Certification Policy: Candidates should have at least 1 year of travel or similar experience. The facility does not accept Nursys or background check hits; staff can return after 3 months if previously terminated.
- Submittal Requirements: Candidates must confirm prior employment at a Providence facility, provide two recent references covering the last 3 years, and be willing to float between nearby facilities if needed.
