Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in an urban setting. This position involves working in a large, Level 1 trauma hospital with a diverse patient population. The nurse will provide circulating services for various surgical procedures, supporting a high-volume surgical department. The assignment requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to varying unit needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Start date is 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; two or more years of operating room experience; prior travel experience; circulating experience in an operating room setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level 1 trauma cases, and a minimum of two years of operating room practice.
- Additional Information: Orientation is scheduled to start on 09/14/2026 with subsequent sessions on 09/28/2026, 10/05/2026, 10/12/2026, and 10/26/2026. This position requires attendance at four late stays during the 13-week contract. Travelers should expect to work two of three holidays and may float between operating room locations but not between different facility sites. No excessive time off can be approved, and work will be primarily based in the main operating room of a hospital with over 1000 beds. The applicant must have a license on file at the time of submission.
