What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations)
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum 24 months of current operating room experience required, including well-rounded independent circulating background.
- Required Clinical Skills: Proficient experience in DaVinci robotics, orthopedics (including total joints & spine), and general surgery. (Mako and Rosa equipment experience highly preferred — 80% of total joints cases use Mako or Rosa).
- License & Certifications: Active Iowa or compact/multistate RN license in hand at submission. Required certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS.
- Radius & Separation Rules: Strict 50-mile radius rule (no local candidates; based on driver's license). Employee separation policy applies for past UPH FTE or PRN staff within the last 12 months.
Clinical & Unit Overview
- Unit Details: 14-bed unit with 1:1 patient ratios.
- Charting System: EPIC required.
- Robotics Equipment: DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa.
