Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of surgical experience in the operating room or perioperative setting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, surgical safety, and sterile technique
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented surgical services environment

Responsibilities

• Perform perioperative nursing duties, including preoperative assessment and postoperative evaluation
• Develop and implement nursing care plans for surgical patients
• Assist with case setup by assembling equipment and supplies using sterile technique
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and surgical site preparation
• Confirm procedure and site with the OR team and support safe patient transport
• Perform and document surgical counts for sponges, sharps, and instruments
• Complete accurate nursing documentation and maintain legal medical records
• Assist with operating room cleanup and proper disposal of used supplies and sharps
