Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – OR Circulator for a travel contract. The RN will provide safe, compassionate, and individualized care to surgical patients while collaborating with providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients and families
Serve as an OR Circulator
Coordinate and optimize daily patient flow
Perform patient assessments and prioritize care appropriately
Apply strong critical-thinking and clinical judgment skills
Administer medications and perform treatments as needed
Assist with surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety
Provide patient and family education
Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Advocate for patient preferences, safety, and quality outcomes
Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado regulations
Work independently with minimal supervision
Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation
Follow HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
Promote excellent patient experience and communication
Support organizational quality and safety standards
Requirements
✅ Active Colorado RN license or valid compact RN license
✅ BLS certification
✅ ACLS certification
✅ Minimum 3 years of experience
✅ Operating Room / OR Circulator experience
✅ Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
✅ Ability to work independently
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule & Assignment Details
3x12-hour day shifts
32 hours/week guaranteed
13-week contract
No holiday coverage required
No bilingual requirement
EPIC EMR
On-call coverage may be required
Weekend requirements as scheduled
Additional Information
Must maintain an active RN license throughout the assignment.
Colorado-specific CAPS requirement applies.
Candidates should be prepared to meet applicable Colorado regulatory requirements before starting.
Strong OR circulation experience is essential for this position.
