Facility Details:
-Children's MN is now requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for employees and contingent workers.
-Facility workweek is different than Fastaff, please be sure RN is aware of this. Will work based off facility workweek but will be paid according to Fastaff workweek

Orientation:
-N95 fit testing required
-MN fingerprinting Required

Unit Details:

  • BLS Certification, PEARS or PALS Certification,  Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider and CPHON certification
  • 2 years nursing experience working with pediatric Hematology/Oncology patient population.
  • Royal blue scrub bottoms, kid friendly shirt or scrub top.
  • Weekends: N/A

Responsibilities: 
  • Assess pediatric patients before, during, and after chemotherapy/infusion treatments
  • Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications safely
  • Monitor for side effects and adverse reactions; intervene promptly
  • Manage central lines (ports, PICCs) and maintain sterile technique
  • Provide pain, symptom, and supportive care (nausea, fatigue, etc.)
  • Educate patients and families about treatments, side effects, and home care
  • Offer emotional support to children and caregivers
  • Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document care, medication administration, and patient responses accurately within Cerner
