Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology Infusion
Location: White Plains, NY, 10601
Shift: Days Monday - Friday 9a-5p
Shift Length: 5*8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks
Position Summary:
Experienced RN Oncology Infusion Nurse with 2 years of hands-on experience in an acute care setting. Skilled in administering chemotherapy and infusion therapies while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Strong background in patient assessment, IV access, medication administration, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
Seeking an opportunity to contribute oncology nursing expertise within a patient-focused healthcare organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion medications safely according to treatment protocols.
- Assess patients before, during, and after infusions and monitor for adverse reactions or complications.
- Establish and maintain IV access, manage infusion pumps, and ensure accurate medication administration.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, side effects, and post-infusion care.
- Collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Skills:
- Oncology infusion therapy, chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration, IV access, and medication safety.
- Patient assessment, adverse reaction management, vital-sign monitoring, and clinical documentation.
- Patient education, care coordination, infection control, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
