Traveler Weekly Pay : $2,702 weekly ($35/hr w2 + $1,442/week stipend)

Job Type: 13-week Contract
Position Summary: An Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients diagnosed with cancer. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, administering treatments, monitoring their condition, managing symptoms and side effects, and providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after cancer treatments.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, IV medications, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and treatment-related side effects.
  • Manage symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, infection, and other complications.
  • Review laboratory results and report abnormal findings to physicians or appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about their diagnosis, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and self-care.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout treatment.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, physicians, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Follow all hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection-control standards.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.

Required Qualifications:

  • NY License
  • M-F, no weekends,/holidays/call
  • Rad Oncology, IV and port access experience is a must, 3 years nursing experience required as well
  • BLS
  • EPIC- Required
