Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor registered nurse in a hospital setting. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients with complex medical oncology needs, requiring expertise in chemotherapy administration, cardiac arrhythmia interpretation, respiratory care, and end-of-life care. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to respond quickly to rapidly changing patient conditions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour DAY/NIGHT rotating shifts. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license or state ID. UHS submission packet checklist/testing completed. UHS prior employment form. A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical-surgical oncology nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: STEP DOWN EXPERIENCE highly preferred; ACLS certification is required; experience with interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias, chemotherapy administration, and monitoring side effects is essential. High level of respiratory care including tracheostomy management, chest tubes, airvo, CPAP/BIPAP; experience with end-of-life care/hospice is preferred.
- Additional Information: The nurse must be skilled in identifying rapidly changing patient conditions, multitasking in critical situations, and managing complex oncology treatments.
