Acute Leukemia / Hematology Oncology RN – Travel Contract
Unit: 24-bed Acute Leukemia/Hematology Oncology
Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Ratio: 1:4, may be 1:5
Charting: Epic
Floating: May float to other Med/Surg Oncology units
Requirements:
- 2+ years RN experience
- Recent inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience required
- Medical-Surgical Oncology experience required
- Leukemia/Blood Dyscrasias experience required – hard stop
- Current acute-care specialty experience within the last 12 months
- Previous travel experience required — no first-time travelers
- Chemotherapy and blood product administration experience
- Central/PICC line and IV therapy experience
- Telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation
- BLS, ACLS & ONS Chemo Certification
- Active Ohio or Compact RN license
- 2 professional references, including 1 supervisor/manager
Unit Focus: High-acuity acute leukemia patients requiring chemotherapy, blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolyte management, infection prevention, and close monitoring.
