Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology Floor in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care aligned with professional standards within a hospital setting, focusing on outpatient chemotherapy, immunotherapy infusions, and patient education. The position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active North Carolina RN license; BLS for healthcare providers (AHA or ARC); at least 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience; one (1) year of nursing experience; Nursing diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing; Background in outpatient oncology infusions preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Certifications: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification (ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration is not accepted).
- Treatments/Services: Chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron, fluids, electrolytes, port lab draws and injections, patient and family education and emotional support.
- Skills: Nursing, patient care, patient education, patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, point of care testing, healthcare standards, communication systems.
