We’re hiring experienced **Obstetrics Registered Nurses (OB RN)** for a travel assignment in Alaska!
🔹 **Requirements:**
• Active, unrestricted **Alaska RN License**
• **Minimum 3 years of recent OB experience required**
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN
• Current **BLS**
• Current **NRP**
• Current **Fetal Monitoring certification**
• National Obstetrics certification preferred
• Knowledge of **AWHONN standards**
• Strong maternal/newborn assessment and clinical skills
• Must be able to care for patients from **birth through elderly**
🔹 **Assignment Details:**
• **13-week contract**
• **Night shifts**
• **32 guaranteed hours/week**
• No holiday coverage required
• **No on-call**
• No 1099 — **W-2 employment only**
• Housing provided
• Flight arrangement initially handled by traveler/agency, with reimbursement available for the base airfare
• COVID vaccination proof required
🔹 **Key Responsibilities:**
• Provide comprehensive OB nursing care using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Monitor maternal and fetal status
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Administer medications and treatments
• Assist with labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Provide patient and family education
• Interpret diagnostic tests and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Coordinate nursing care and delegate appropriately
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow Alaska nursing practice standards and AWHONN guidelines
