Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced NICU RN with 2+ years of recent acute care experience caring for critically ill and premature newborns.
Responsible for providing specialized neonatal nursing care, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and respiratory support.
Experience managing premature infants, low-birth-weight newborns, neonatal emergencies, and complex medical conditions is preferred.
Must work effectively with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams while supporting families and ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns in the NICU.
- Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, cardiac rhythms, and overall neonatal condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, nutrition, and other treatments according to physician orders.
- Manage infants requiring ventilators, CPAP, oxygen therapy, and other neonatal respiratory support.
- Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams while educating and supporting families throughout care.
Skills:
- Strong neonatal assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Proficient in managing premature, low-birth-weight, and critically ill newborns.
- Skilled in ventilator, CPAP, oxygen, IV therapy, and medication management.
- Experienced in recognizing and responding to neonatal emergencies and changes in condition.
- Effective communication, teamwork, family education, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
