Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves delivering specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU, including assessments, procedures, and monitoring. The position requires a caring and skilled RN committed to providing high-quality neonatal care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Fargo, ND
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, with every other weekend working
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Required Qualifications:
- Active North Dakota RN license and willingness to obtain compact license if applicable
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, American Heart Association required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years neonatal nursing experience
- Experience with Epic (OneChart) charting system highly preferred
- Level III NICU experience required
- Ability to perform neonatal assessments and care for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, Nasal Cannula, medications, feeds, and G-tubes
- Able and willing to float to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric (PEDS) departments within scope
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with procedures such as intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, and high-frequency ventilators
- Knowledge of neonatal equipment, including ventilators, nitric oxide, MedFusion pumps, and Spacelab monitors
- Additional Information:
- Training and orientation include two days of Epic charting with a buddy system for unit norms and patient assessments to determine safe scope of practice
- Unit comprises 40 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 for critical infants, and 3:1 for feeding and growing infants
- Scrub color requirement: Child-friendly scrubs with role-specific colored pants
- Must badge in and out at the facility and adhere to float requirements to PICU and PEDS departments
