• Position: NICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Setting: Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery
• Location: Midlothian, Virginia
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week; every other weekend and major holidays required
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Start Date: 8/3/2026
• End Date: 11/2/2026
• Work Type: Travel assignment

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 3 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• NICU, pediatric, neonatal, med-surg, OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• BLS required; PALS preferred or obtained per unit requirements
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work night shifts and provide care for neonates and pediatric patients
• Comfort working in a high-acuity healthcare setting with intermittent float expectations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor condition closely
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with clinical standards
• Support interventions such as bubble CPAP, ventilator care, umbilical line management, IV access, arterial sticks, and blood draws
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to create and update individualized plans of care
• Educate and support families through treatment, discharge planning, and follow-up guidance
• Respond quickly and calmly to changes in patient status and emergency situations
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
• May float within the New Life Center or to outside NICU units as needed
