Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state licensure may be accepted if in hand by the required start timeline
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; comfort working with neonatal and pediatric patients is essential
• Epic experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required, or ability to obtain prior to start if permitted
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to adapt to floating across pediatric units as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for neonates and pediatric patients in a fast-paced float pool environment
• Care for patients with diagnoses including respiratory distress, congenital conditions, neurological concerns, and surgical needs
• Float as needed to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally Mother/Baby or L&D within scope of practice
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care using advanced monitoring and support equipment
• Support high-acuity interventions, including ventilator management, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all unit and facility policies
• Provide compassionate, family-centered care in a highly collaborative environment
