Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN position is located in a specialized unit focusing on the care of neonates between 29-34 weeks gestation. The position involves working the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a rotating basis with weekend rotations. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting high-risk deliveries and neonatal care procedures, with a focus on family-centered care and clinical excellence.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NY state license in hand, 2 years of NICU experience, minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, proficiency with EPIC charting system, BLS and NRP certifications, ability to perform neonatal procedures such as APGAR scoring, UAC/UVC placement, ventilator management, respiratory support, and neonatal resuscitation. Must have prior experience in a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and be able to work in a high-acuity environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neonatal sepsis, phototherapy, and neonatal medications.
- Float: Float to postpartum units or labor & delivery as needed.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to baby catch in OR for C-section cases, with the flexibility to float to related units. The assignment runs from 09/08/2026 through 11/03/2026, with a standard orientation of 24 hours. Module training includes up to 5 billable hours, recorded via facility reports; any additional hours are non-billable. Foreign education verification may be required if applicable. Return staff policy requires a six-month gap before reapplying.
