Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the NICU will provide care to neonates of all gestational ages within a Level 3 NICU setting. The unit has 28 beds with an average census of 13-16. Responsibilities include managing patients with a range of diagnoses such as low birth weight and those requiring high-frequency ventilation. No ECMO or cardiac surgeries are conducted currently.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to neonates with various conditions in a Level 3 NICU
• Utilize skills in vent management, IV starts, and neonatal resuscitation
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including neonatologists and nurse practitioners

Requirements:

• Minimum 1.5 years of NICU experience
• BLS, NRP, PALS certifications required; STABLE preferred
• Registered Nurse license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
