Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position at a healthcare organization located in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves caring for sick neonates in a Level 3 NICU unit, utilizing specialized skills including ventilator management, high-frequency jet ventilators, nitric oxide, and other advanced neonatal care techniques. Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience, certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS), experience caring for sick neonates, located within commuting distance or willing to relocate to Philadelphia, PA
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating to well baby nursery, familiarity with high-flow nasal cannula, nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation, ability to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1, potentially tripling in low acuity cases
- Additional Information: The unit has 41 beds, including single, double, and triple rooms. No call is required for this position. Weekend and holiday requirements are not mandatory but may be preferred. The role involves providing comprehensive neonatal care, excluding surgical and cardiac cases.
