Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience; travel nurse experience is accepted
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the last 12 months
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Willingness to complete required pre-start compliance items and modules
• Prepared to work a rotating schedule based on operational needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult Med/Surg Tele patients in an acute care hospital environment
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Deliver thorough nursing assessments, interventions, and accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes
• Float to similar patient population units as needed, including related med/surg and emergency care areas
• Use strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare setting
• Adhere to facility policies, compliance requirements, and orientation competencies
• Provide reliable coverage during day and night rotations with flexibility to meet unit needs
