Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or a related specialty
• Recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; travel nurse experience is acceptable
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong ECG rhythm recognition, clinical assessment, and medication safety skills
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Successful completion of orientation assessments with passing scores
• Must be available to support a rotating schedule based on operational needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult Med/Surg and telemetry patients in a float pool environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Provide patient-centered bedside care across assigned units that serve a similar patient population
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support positive patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to changing unit needs while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and a calm presence
• Support a culture of teamwork, flexibility, and high-quality patient care in a busy hospital setting
