Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Reno, Nevada. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment. The role requires delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including those with complex cardiac and post-procedure conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Location: Reno, Nevada, within a facility situated at 10101 Double R Blvd.
- Schedule: 3 nights per week, 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nevada RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience, passing a telemetry competency exam, prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Level I trauma centers and familiarity with cardiac medication drips such as Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to other units including intensive care and medical-surgical units based on organizational needs. The role may involve working major holidays and some call shifts, with scheduling varying to meet departmental demands. The hospital is recognized for outstanding care, serving a large regional area with a broad spectrum of services.
