Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurses are needed for an acute care unit in a healthcare facility located in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This unit primarily admits patients with orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, oncology, and medical conditions. The position involves providing bedside care, monitoring telemetry, and administering titratable drips such as heparin. The role offers the opportunity to work nights with a schedule of 12-hour shifts starting on 09/14/2026.
Job Details:
- Location: Marshfield, WI
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association; 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience; Wisconsin RN license; must be able to read telemetry strips; must have worked for the organization within the last 6 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring; experience in medical-surgical units; ability to titrate drips including heparin and insulin; strong understanding of patient care in trauma, neuro-spine, and oncology settings.
- Unit Specific Information: Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night. Nursing assistants support the unit with ratios of 1:8-10 during daytime and 1 CNA during night shift. RT support is available for high flow oxygen therapies; vents are not used. Charge nurses and house supervisors take assignments; float to other adult medical-surgical units may be required.
- Additional Information: Shifts are from 1900 to 0730; no self-scheduling; block scheduling preferred. Every other weekend and holiday work required. Scrubs are to be worn in any color, maintaining a professional appearance. This role includes a one-day computer training session and 1-2 precepted floor orientations.
