Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is located at a community hospital. This role involves providing patient care on a unit with a daily census of approximately 24 adults and geriatrics. The position includes night shifts with a typical schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, requiring a minimum of 36 hours weekly. The RN will deliver high-quality care to patients with various diagnoses, including cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, sepsis, pneumonia, and those post-cardiac cath. The ideal candidate will have experience in telemetry units, community hospitals, and possess relevant certifications.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; community hospital experience; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; TNCC not specified; BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, telemetry interpretation skills, and experience with emergency response protocols.
• Float: Float to medical-surgical and telemetry units may be required as needed.
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for managing various patient conditions including heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and patients post-cardiac procedures. Must be willing to float within unit scope, participate in weekend schedules, and adhere to unit PPE and isolation precautions. The role involves using various medical equipment such as telemetry monitors, chest tubes, and IV therapy management. Candidates should be flexible with holiday shifts and call requirements where applicable.
• Special Requirements: AMI, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure management, Vascular / PVD, sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and femoral line management.
• Type of Facility: Community hospital with 240 beds and a 25-bed inpatient unit.
• Unit Details: Support from interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, and social services.
• Patient Age Groups: Adults and geriatrics.
