Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oakland, Maryland.

Position Highlights
- Unit: Med/Surg
- Beds: 32-bed unit; currently 20 beds due to staffing
- RN-to-Patient Ratio: Maximum 1:5
- Strong Med/Surg experience required
- EPIC experience required
- RNs do not titrate drips
- No call or standby
- Floating is required; Med/Surg nurses may assist other units as a tasker or extra set of hands
- Additional shifts may be available
- Manager creates the schedule and is open to traveler preferences/block scheduling
Patient Population
A diverse Med/Surg patient population, including:
- CHF
- Pneumonia
- Abdominal pain
- Pancreatitis
- Orthopedic patients
- Detox
- Post-op/surgical patients
- Pediatric patients
- Cerebral palsy (CP)
The unit can care for most patient types except laboring mothers and patients requiring titratable cardiac or insulin drips.
