Job Summary:
The medical surgical specialty is seeking qualified candidates for a position on a general medical surgical floor located in Iowa City, Iowa. The assignment involves providing patient care in an adult acute care unit with a focus on diverse conditions including post-surgical recovery, wound management, electrolyte imbalances, and respiratory diseases. The role is suited for healthcare professionals committed to delivering individualized, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Iowa City, Iowa
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; relevant certifications as per state and facility requirements; at least 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system; current licensure to practice as a healthcare professional
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult acute care, trauma experience, and familiarity with a multidisciplinary team environment
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 30-bed adult acute care setting serving patients with conditions such as diabetes, respiratory diseases, and post-surgical needs, including facial reconstruction and thyroid surgeries. The facility offers private rooms and a collaborative team environment geared toward individualized patient care.
