Assignment Overview
Join our team as an RN specializing in MedSurg/Tele. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills and experience in orthopedic and trauma cases, as well as the ability to care for patients with acute or chronic conditions post-surgery.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: Not provided
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts from 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Assignment Length: Not provided
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2250 (negotiable)
- Location: RN
- Floating: All adult med-surg/telemetry units in-house
- EMR: EPIC
- Scheduling: Weekend rotation of 5-6 shifts per 6 weeks; holiday work expected
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care with a focus on orthopedic, trauma, and post-operative recovery
- Manage wound care, tracheostomy care, and chest tube management
- Perform IV insertion, central line management, and cardiac monitoring
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients on discharge protocols and manage renal and fluid therapy
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system
- Strong clinical assessment and med-surg skills for Level 1 Trauma Hospital
Preferred:
- ACLS certification
- National certification- Medical-surgical or Nephrology nursing
