Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Day Shift the organization is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for their 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit. This unit provides patient-centered care for a diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke. The qualified candidate will be part of a fast-paced, evidence-based environment focused on delivering high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan nursing license, BLS (AHA) certification, 2+ years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience, experience in Level II or I trauma settings, physical copies of certifications if applicable
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a med surg setting outside of float or telemetry units, travel experience preferred
- Additional Information: The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, utilization of clinical pathways, patient education, and effective communication. The organization maintains a strict attendance policy effective 06/01/2024; absences or tardiness may result in termination unless supported by evidence of communicable disease or hospitalization. New team members will receive comprehensive orientation and support to foster professional growth.
