Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position at a healthcare facility in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The role involves providing patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, working 12-hour night shifts, with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered practices within an integrated care model.
Job Details:
- Position: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours (7p-7a); minimum guaranteed hours of 36 per week
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension
- Certifications: Wisconsin RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, & AHA PALS (required)
- Education: Associate Degree or Certificate
- Minimum Experience: 2+ years Medical Surgical RN experience required & 1 previous completed travel contract required
- Preferred Experience: Point of Care Testing experience, including blood sample spin down and outpatient lab testing (training provided)
- Charting System: Epic, proficiency required within the last year
- Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Shift Notes: 12-hour nights; holiday rotation; float to Emergency Department and other facilities within a 60-mile radius; no on-call requirements
- On-site Provider: Paramedic, RN, or Med/Mobile Intensive Therapy (MMIT) on site
- Additional Details: The unit consists of 10 inpatient beds, 8 Emergency Department bays, and a patient ratio of 1:3-5. Training on Warming Kitchen protocols will be provided to enhance patient experience. No new travelers; at least one completed contract is required.
