Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nursing in a healthcare facility. This position requires providing patient care primarily to adult and pediatric patients, managing common diagnoses such as urinary tract infections, altered mental status, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The role involves working night shifts with the potential for weekend and float responsibilities, supporting a team-oriented environment with a focus on effective communication and collaboration.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience, BLS Certification, PALS Certification, clinical experience caring for adult and pediatric patients, valid RN license, and ability to read telemetry strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication, motivation, and approachability skills; ability to work well within a team; proactive in asking questions when unsure.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit for 1:1 patient assignments as needed.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has 17 beds, including inpatient and observation.
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night.
  • Charge nurses do take assignments.
  • Nursing staff may be required to troubleshoot BiPAP or similar equipment, but vents are not used on this unit.
  • Telemetry monitors are utilized; nurses are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips.
  • Scrubs are provided; the dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
  • Orientation includes one 12-hour shift, with additional orientation if needed.
  • RTO requests must be made upfront, with a limit of 7 days or less per 13-week contract.
  • Candidates must adhere to radius restrictions of 50 miles and may not be employed as full-time, part-time, or PRN with associated facilities of the organization.
