Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience or similar acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Strong basic arrhythmia recognition skills
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotating holidays
• Comfortable floating to other Medical-Surgical areas as needed, excluding ED and Behavioral Health

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and neurological Med/Surg patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and manage ordered therapies according to unit protocols and nursing standards
• Support patients with a variety of diagnoses, including spinal, seizure, craniotomy, traction, and Med/Surg overflow cases
• Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support teams
• Document care accurately in EPIC and maintain a safe, efficient workflow
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining strong attendance and reliability
