Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing inpatient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. The role requires working shifts of 12 hours on days, with a focus on effective patient monitoring, medication administration, and coordination of care within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Shift hours are 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. The position follows a dayshift schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state or a compact license, at least 1 year of inpatient medical-surgical experience, BLS certification, and experience with Epic charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Med/Surg patient population, telemetry monitoring experience, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias.
- Float: Float to units of equal or lesser acuity may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit serves adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 37, with 45 beds and rooms. The team includes comprehensive interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Recent Epic experience (within 6 months) and minimum 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg experience are required.
