Job Description:

The Registered Nurse Med/Surg position involves providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, utilizing the nursing process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 18 months experience in MedSurg and/or ICU required.
• Experience with EMR systems, Cerner or EPIC preferred.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of tele strips every 4 hours.
• Capability to perform wound care, trach care, and IV line management.
