Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) located in southeastern Washington, serving the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland). This position involves providing patient care in a medical surgical floor environment with a focus on caring for geriatric and adult populations. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to deliver high-quality nursing services within a fast-paced hospital setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, ACLS certification (must have training in ACLS or some type of rhythm interpretation course), at least 2 years of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EKG/Cardiac Monitoring, respiratory assessment and support, medication titration.
- Asset Knowledge: Competence in EHR documentation using Paragon (McKesson).
- Unit Information:
- Department: Medical Surgical Floor
- Number of Beds: 16 private rooms
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 with 1:3 accommodations for acuity
- Trauma Level: 3
- Equipment: Cardiac monitoring, respiratory support tools
- Additional Notes: Covering for leave, with opportunities for ongoing assignments based on unit needs and candidate performance.
