Assignment Overview
Seeking a Registered Nurse experienced in MedSurg/Tele for a Level 1 Trauma Center. Ideal candidates will have a strong clinical assessment capability and med-surg nursing skills. Experience with cardiac and telemetry monitoring is essential.
Assignment Details
- Shift times: 12-hour shifts; 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts out of 12 (6-week schedule)
- Holiday Expectations: work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day/day after + 12/24 or 12/25 + 12/31 or 1/1)
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $1890 (negotiable)
- EMR: EPIC
- Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4-6
Responsibilities
- Manage post/pre-cardiac and step-down ICU patients
- Perform cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Plan discharges and educate patients on renal and fluid management
- Conduct wound care and post-op monitoring
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) - EKG Rhythm exam as part of onboarding
- Skills in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, insulin drips, and heparin drips
- Strong med-surg nursing skills for Level 1 Trauma Hospital
Preferred:
- ACLS certification
- National certification - Medical-surgical certification nursing
